Cultivation Connections: Intergenerational Gardening Across the Lifecourse

Overview: This project evaluated the impact of 15 therapeutic horticulture sessions aimed at enhancing the mental, physical, and social health of participants. The program integrated gardening, nutrition, and wellness activities to promote healthier lifestyles and stronger community connections.
Approach:
Facilitated focus groups with Gilfield Park residents and staff to shape community-driven programs that support older adults while promoting sustainable food production and environmental stewardship.
Conducted thematic analysis of transcribed focus group data using MAXQDA software.
Compiled findings into a comprehensive evaluation report, presented at regional and national conferences, and contributed to the development of a program toolkit for stakeholders.
